In defenselessness, my safety lies.

One of the best things I learned in the ACIM. If I can stay defenseless while being attacked, then the attacker is more likely to give up attack. This principle is used in some types of martial arts like Aikido and Tai Chi. The one attacked uses the energy of the attacker to throw them off, and then walks away if possible.
In our relationships, if there is no striking back, then peace is more quickly restored. It takes two to fight. Peace, Ron Alexander
